Edda – Sämund den Vises skaldeverk By Fredrik Sander Edda – Sämund den Vises skaldeverk is Nils Fredrik Sander's Swedish translation of The Poetic Edda combined with several other Old Norse lays, some saga pieces, and excerpts from Snorri's Edda. Sander spent almost twenty years on this work, and when it was published in 1889, it attracted much attention. Five years later Sander was awarded a highly prestigious prize for his translation by the Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien. | |||||
